zeb User Days 2025

The zeb User Days are a key event for our clients and partners from the financial industry, held annually in autumn. The focus is on the exchange between users of the zeb.control software and our experts. Our goal is not only to provide an overview of the latest developments in our software solutions but also to enable active dialogue. This gives our clients the opportunity to influence future product developments and directly contribute their requirements to the development process. In addition to engaging expert presentations, practice-oriented user talks, and deep insights into current developments and trends in the financial sector, the User Days offer an ideal setting for networking and sharing experiences among participants. Only through dialogue with our clients can we ensure that our software solutions continue to meet evolving demands.
This year, the User Days took place on September 16 and 17 at our zeb Lab in Münster. Around 40 representatives from our banking clients accepted our invitation and engaged with us in an inspiring exchange.
The first day of the event began on Tuesday, September 16, with a joint come together over light refreshments, before Frank Kathage officially welcomed the participants and provided an outlook on the zeb.control product strategy for the years 2026 to 2028. This was followed by one of the core topics of this year’s User Days: ALM Next. David Benz and Dr. Philipp Leser-Wolf presented the milestones already achieved and the developments still to come. After a short break and the opportunity for informal exchange, the program continued with a deep dive into industry-specific editions of zeb.control. In this session, David Benz, Alexander Rubach, and Timo Franke focused particularly on the requirements of leasing companies, captives, and building societies. To conclude the day, Patrick Wolff from LBS NordWest gave a user presentation outlining the institution’s journey toward zeb.control ALM Next. The day ended on a high note with a joint evening event on the zeb rooftop terrace, offering plenty of opportunities for networking.

The second day of the event began on Wednesday morning with a thematic introduction to Software as a Service, during which Ferdinand Davertshofen outlined the progress made so far and the perspectives for the coming years. Afterwards, Marc Räkers used the example of credit risk to demonstrate how integrated risk-bearing capacity can be designed with ALM Next in the future. A highlight of the morning was the user presentation by Nord/LB, where Marcel Monien gave a practical insight into the modernization of bank management. The agenda then featured two sessions on data management: Thomas Rensing introduced the new zeb.control FSDM Adapter, while Ferdinand Davertshofen presented the newly developed zeb.control Financial Data Model. Following this, Dr. Nils Dabrock and Detlev Ahrens provided an overview of zeb.control Accounting Next and explained the new possibilities within Dynamic Risk Management. To conclude, Johanna Segtrop demonstrated within the zeb.regulatoryHub how AI and new workflow features can be applied in future management processes. With a final summary and a “snack to go” for the participants, the zeb User Days 2025 came to a close.
