CHALLENGE

The subledger as a central component in consolidating information in accordance with Local GAAP and IFRS

As part of valuation and hedge accounting under IFRS, additional valuations and posting information are generated in the subledger. This information must subsequently be made available to the general ledger. Both Local GAAP and IFRS perspectives must be taken into account.

Multi-GAAP analysis at the individual transaction level

Key figures can be calculated at individual contract level in accordance with different accounting standards. This provides a flexible view of business portfolios and postings from both Local GAAP and IFRS perspectives.

Parallel Data Management for Local GAAP and IFRS

Data can be stored in parallel at individual transaction level in accordance with Local GAAP and IFRS. This provides a consistent basis for different accounting requirements.

Automated Posting Generation

Creation of journal entries and business transactions for transfer to the general ledger (IFRS ledger) and, in some cases, to local GAAP ledgers. Journal entries are generated and analyzed via a graphical user interface, while automated documentation functions help ensure the traceability of transactions.

Flexible Navigation Between Postings and Holdings

Flexible switching between business transactions, balances, and general ledger entries enables quick access to relevant information. This supports the analysis and traceability of accounting entries.

Custom Rules and Chart of Accounts

A flexibly configurable rule set enables the mapping of individual rules and customer-specific charts of accounts. This allows requirements to be implemented according to each bank’s specific needs.

Instrument-level accounting

Values are maintained at the level of individual financial instruments as well as balance sheet and P&L items. In addition, business transactions can be entered and reversed manually.
